You will discover that if you hang around a pond a lot, there will be common snapping turtles. These creatures tend to be outside ponds or maybe even swimming in ponds. 

These amazing animals can live on average for about 30-40 years! If you ever see one, don’t get too close to them! They have a bite force of up to 147 pounds! These creatures tend to get real aggressive when angry! So make sure to stay away from them when they look grouchy, oh wait they're always grouchy! 

If you want to see one of these grumpy creatures up close, make sure to always ask an adult! They love to eat a variety of insects, such as grasshoppers and worms. They also like leaves and aquatic plants! Common snapping turtles tend to live in Carolina and Georgia.
